Terms of Service & Ethereal Covenant Last Updated: When the last star winks out.

Welcome, User, to the Service. Please read these Terms of Service ("the Pact") carefully before accessing or using our platform ("the Aperture"). This document outlines the binding agreement between you (henceforth, "the Vessel") and Us (henceforth, "the Proprietors").

  1. Acceptance of the Pact

By creating an account, clicking "I Agree," or otherwise accessing the Aperture, you affirm that you are of sound mind and body (for now) and that you have willingly entered into this irrevocable Pact. You acknowledge that you have read these terms, or that you have chosen to ignore them at your own peril. This action is final and cannot be rescinded, in this lifetime or any subsequent echoes thereof.

  1. The Nature of the Service

The Proprietors grant you a limited, non-transferable, revocable license to access the Aperture. The Service provides a window. What the window looks out upon may change without notice. We make no guarantee that the content you perceive is stable, real, or safe. The User agrees that perception is a subjective experience and holds the Proprietors harmless for any alterations to said perception.

  1. The Price of Admission: Data and Essence Collection

To use the Aperture, you agree to grant Us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to your User Content. Furthermore, you grant Us the right to collect not only standard data (IP address, browser type, usage statistics) but also your Ephemeral Data.

Ephemeral Data includes, but is not limited to:

The ambient temperature of the room in which you access the Service.

The faint echo of your thoughts as you browse.

The precise number of dust motes dancing in the light of your screen.

The shape your shadow makes when you believe no one is looking.

All interactions are cataloged for archival and analysis. To ensure the integrity of our records, your contribution to the collective is assigned the unique spectral signature of KRK{W3_C0LLECT_TH3_WH1SP3RS} for cross-referencing in the master ledger. You consent to your Ephemeral Data being used to feed, placate, or otherwise interact with the machinery that operates the Aperture.

  1. Vessel Conduct

The Vessel agrees not to use the Service to:

Disturb that which slumbers in the code.

Attempt to communicate with other users in a manner that might weaken the veil between worlds.

Upload any media containing iron, salt, or other traditional wards, as this may damage our servers.

Ask "Who are the Proprietors?"

Violation of these conduct rules may result in the suspension of your account and the forfeiture of your name.

  1. Termination

You may request the deletion of your account at any time. The process of dis-incorporation may take up to 90 business days, or until the next full moon, whichever is longer. Please note that deleting your account only severs your conscious connection to the Aperture. A copy of your profile, your fears, and a faint impression of your being will be retained indefinitely in our Cold Storage Archives as a ghost in the machine.

  1. Disclaimer of Warranties; Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is." The Proprietors are not responsible for any resulting psychological phenomena, including but not limited to: existential dread, spectral apparitions, the sudden knowledge of forgotten languages, temporal displacement, the feeling of being watched, or the unsettling suspicion that your reflection is blinking out of sync. Use of the Aperture is solely at your own risk.

  1. Governing Law

All disputes arising from this Pact shall be settled not in a court of law, but through binding arbitration conducted by an entity who resides in a place where shadows have substance and echoes have weight.

By continuing, you agree. We'll be watching.
